SIMI VALLEY YMCA
Ys MEN

WHAT WE DO:

  • The Simi Valley YMCA Y's Men is a philanthropic organization under the umbrella of the YMCA where community members can come together to serve our city.
  • We sponsor the Splash program, a YMCA Safety Around Water program during spring break that teaches children how to swim/be safe around water at no cost to the families. Any child in the community can sign up for this program. LEARN MORE about the YMCA's Safety Around Water program HERE.
  • We feed the volunteers at the Simi Valley Street Fair (Chamber of Commerce) and the Simi Valley Round Up (Kiwanis Club) fundraisers either breakfast or lunch.
  • We have a Santa Maria Style wood pit barbecue trailer which we take to events and make and sell the Y's Men legendary tri-tip sandwiches to earn funds that sponsor programs in our community.
  • We run a Christmas Tree Lot each year located at the Simi Valley YMCA where we sell Christmas trees, sponsor trees for underserved families and all proceeds go to sponsor programs in our community.
  • We have sponsored multiple Eagle Scout projects.
  • We cook pancakes for various pancake breakfast fundraisers in Simi Valley. These include Simi Valley's 3 baseball leagues, Kiwanis Club, the Samaritan Center and a few 5k run fundraisers.  We volunteer our labor, equipment and even provide the food for these events.
  • We've done service projects at some of the YMCA's after school program buildings as well as at the Samaritan Center, the homeless services resource in our community.
