SIMI VALLEY FAMILY YMCA
FACILITY EXPANSION UPDATES

SUMMER 2026

The Capital Expansion Project for the Simi Valley Family YMCA is entering its closeout phase. The Advisory Board, serving as the Campaign’s Steering Committee, is pleased to announce the following highlights:

  • As of June 30, leadership has secured pledges totaling $1.9 million toward the campaign’s $2.5 million goal.
  • The YMCA would like to thank and extend our sincere appreciation to the campaign’s 376 donors that have contributed toward the project thus far.
  • The YMCA would like to thank the nearly 30 volunteers that participated in the Community Campaign earlier this year. Special thanks to Anthony Angelini, who served as our Community Campaign Chair and led the full team effort raising $258,141 from 331 donors.
  • The YMCA is working through final questions with the City of Simi Valley on its construction plans. Groundbreaking will commence as soon as permits are secured. Construction is anticipated to take 12 months. A grand reopening is projected in the fall of 2027.
  • Stay tuned for a campaign and construction blog that will begin in September providing regular updates on construction progress and campaign news.
  • $600,000 remains to be raised to achieve our $2.5 million goal, plus the Y is continuing to seek $2 million in funding from government and alternative funding to fully fund the $7.5 million project.
  • All of us at the Simi Valley Family YMCA are grateful for the community's support as we expand our services and activities as part of our strategic commitment to multigenerational impact. Participation has doubled since 2001 and with our expanded footprint, we expect to surpass 3000 families involved annually. Together, we can do so much more—higher engagement, growing and thriving!

Thank you for your support of this project. We invite you to give now, give generously and give with a full heart. Together, we can and will imagine, inspire, and invest, making the dream of a new and expanded Simi Valley Family Y a reality for generations to come.
