The Yarrow Family YMCA Cheer Team is for youth ages 5 to 11. This program is for seasoned cheerleaders or those looking to learn the basics. Our program emphasizes skill progression, sportsmanship and personal growth. We provide a fun, supportive atmosphere where every athlete has a chance to shine.

If you are ready to bring your energy to the sidelines and the competition stage, we cannot wait to see you at tryouts!

CHEER TEAM SEASON
November 30, 2026 - June 11, 2027
FEE: $200/member
(Must be an active YMCA member to participate in this program.)

Practices

  • Location: Yarrow Family YMCA
  • Days: Monday & Friday
  • Time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
  • The cheer team will cheer at the YMCA Friday Y-Light Football games on Fridays, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm

Events & Competitions

The cheer team will participate in a variety of other events, with dates to be determined.

CLINIC & TRYOUTS

Two clinic dates will be available. Registration opens October 19th.

  • Monday, November 2, 4:00pm - 5:00pm 
  • Wednesday, November 4,  4:00pm - 5:00pm 

Cheer Team Tryouts—Friday, November 6, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Children must participate in the clinic and try out to join the team.

Important Program Information

Two practices a week

The registration fee covers:

  • Uniform
  • Program supplies
  • Coach

  • Sneakers
  • Uniform provide by the YMCA paid for with program fee
