Welcome to the Southeast Ventura County YMCA! We are excited to have you join our team.

Before you begin working, please complete the onboarding steps below. These items include required paperwork, background checks and training.

If you have any questions during the process, please contact our HR team at hr@sevymca.org.
 

Please complete the following steps in order before your first day of work.

Step 1 - Complete Paylocity Onboarding and Registration

Our payroll and HR system is Paylocity.

You will receive a registration link by email to create and complete your account.

Once you log in, please complete the following:

  • Onboarding Payroll and Employment Documents
  • Upload Online Training Certificate
     
 


Step 2 - Complete Your Employment Screening 

Background check requirements depend on your age.

  • If you are under 18
    • You must obtain a work permit from your school before starting work.
    • Reference Check

WORK PERMIT FORM 

  • If you are 18 or older
    • You must complete a Praesidium background check.
    • Reference Check

Praesidium will send you an email to authorize your background and reference check. Please monitor your inbox and complete it promptly to prevent any delays. 

  • Live Scan Fingerprinting

Please download the below live scan form and take it to the following locations for fingerprinting.

Step 3 - Complete Required Online Training

All employees must complete required training through our learning portal:

Login Information

Username: first name + last initial (capitalized) 
Example: rogerR

Password: Ymca2024!

Required Training

  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Child Abuse Prevention Training
  • Harassment Training
  • Mandated Reporter Training

These trainings are required for all employees; please download your certificates so you can upload them into Paylocity once you complete them.
 

 


Step 4 - Complete Health Screening & TB Clearance (Childcare Staff)

If you are working in a licensed childcare program, you must complete a health screening and TB clearance. 

Download the required paperwork from this page before visiting a clinic. 

Bring the LIC 503 Health Screening form and authorization paperwork to your appointment

You may visit either of the following clinics:

Carbon Health, Janss Road, Thousand Oaks 
or 
Med Center, Sequoia Avenue, Simi Valley

If a TB skin test is administered, you will need to return to the clinic 48-72 hours later for reading.

Once completed, upload paperwork into Paylocity.

Step 5 - CPR & First Aid Certification

If your position requires certification, we offer monthly classes:

1st Saturday of the Month at the Yarrow Family YMCA, 31105 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Westlake Village, CA
