UPDATED SAFETY MEASURES:

To ensure a clean and safe environment for all members, we will take the following measures:

Social Distancing: Each facility will have a new floor plan with all available fitness equipment positioned no less than 6 feet apart.
Reservations Required: To minimize overcrowding, we will be requiring reservations to use the Fitness Center.  Reservations will be accepted for a 55-minute time slot every hour on the hour.  More details will be provided when you reactivate your membership.
Increased Sanitation: Fitness attendants will monitor the facility, providing frequent and thorough cleanings for all equipment and frequently-touched surfaces. Machines will be clearly marked so members know it has received the proper sanitation before they work out.
Touchless Technology: We will be implementing touch-free check ins, as well as replacing many drinking fountains and faucets with touchless technology.
Personal Protective Equipment: All staff will be provided with the appropriate PPE supplies to limit exposure to our members. Members will be required to wear masks upon entering the building; however, this will not be a requirement while working out in the facility.
Showers Closed: While the new locker rooms are available for bathroom use, our showers and changing rooms will remain closed until further notice.

Keep Our Community Safe
We are all responsible for the successful reopening of our Y. Please consider the following upon returning to the Y:

- The Y is hosting a distance learning support program at the Simi Valley YMCA.  Please be respectful of all barriers in place to ensure the health and safety of the children and staff.

- Be courteous to all staff and members.
- If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
- Limit your time on each machine to provide all members an opportunity to enjoy the facility.
- Wipe down equipment after use.

We are eager to reopen the pool and the full facility.  We will continue to monitor county guidelines and are prepared to reopen as soon as possible.
