SIMI VALLEY FAMILY YMCA
FACILITY EXPANSION UPDATES
Spring 2026
The Capital Expansion Project for the Simi Valley Family YMCA is entering the Spring Season operating at full steam. The Advisory Board, serving as the Campaign’s Steering Committee, is pleased to announce the following highlights:
As of February, leadership has secured pledges totaling $1.76 million toward the campaign’s $2.5 million goal.
- The YMCA would like to thank and extend our sincere appreciation to the campaign’s lead donors:
- The Valentine Foundation
- Chuck and Melinda Carmichael
The Amoroso Family
Scott and Robyn Thomas
The campaign completed the quiet phase of the campaign at the end of 2025.
The Community Stage of the capital campaign launched on January 24th in concert with ceremonial groundbreaking on the new facility.
Nearly 150 community members were in attendance, including public officials: Congressman Brad Sherman, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, Supervisor Janice Parvin, and Mayor Dee Dee Cavanaugh.
Fundraising is currently underway, reaching across the community to invite donations from individuals, businesses and foundations so that they can all be part of this historic project.
Simi Valley Family YMCA membership has already grown significantly over the past two years, a direct result of expanded programming in youth enrichment, adult and senior healthy living programming. The facility is operating at peak capacity. Upon completion of the expansion project, the Y will be able to triple its capacity, aiming to serve 3000 households annually, providing expanded program opportunities and healthy living spaces that welcome all members of the community.
Thank you for your support of this project. We invite you to give now, give generously and give with a full heart. Together, we can and will imagine, inspire, and invest, making the dream of a new and expanded Simi Valley Family Y a reality for generations to come.
