FACILITY EXPANSION UPDATES 

Fall 2025

The Capital Expansion Project for the Simi Valley Family YMCA is entering the Fall 2025 Season operating at full steam. The Advisory Board, serving as the Campaign’s Steering Committee is pleased to announce the following highlights:

• As of August 31, leadership have secured pledges totaling $1.5 million toward the campaign’s $2.5 million goal. 
• The YMCA would like to thank and extend our sincere appreciation to the campaign’s lead donors: 
  • The Valentine Foundation 
  • Chuck and Melinda Carmichael 
  • The Amoroso Family 
• The campaign will be completing the quiet phase at the end of the year. 
  • The Y celebrates over 70 individuals that have generously contributed thus far. 
  • 100% of the SEVC Y’s Board of Directors and Simi Valley’s Advisory Board have pledged commitments to the project. 
• The Community Stage of the capital campaign will launch in January 2026. 
  • Community wide support is essential to reaching the campaign’s goal and all residents, businesses and community members will be invited at this stage.
  • The Community Stage of the Capital Campaign will include the Annual Campaign, giving donors the opportunity to make a single gift that supports both the capital expansion project and the Annual Campaign, which funds access for all and impact programs such as Find My Genius and Safety Around Water.
• Simi Valley Family YMCA membership has already grown significantly since January 2025, a direct result of expanded programing in youth enrichment and adult and senior healthy living programing. The facility is operating at peak capacity. Upon completion of the expansion project, the Y will be able to serve 1,700 additional households annually, providing expanded program opportunities and healthy living spaces that welcome all members of the community.

In the coming months, announcements will be posted on Member and Community Open Houses, Y Alumni Reunion Events and Presentations Planned in the Community introducing the Project.
