Health, Well-Being & Fitness

At the Y, we are committed to improving the health and well-being of our members. To show that we understand the barriers to practicing healthy habits- our busy lives, our fitness levels and our attitude towards exercise - we underwent a major redesign of our group exercise classes to help you stick to a regular exercise program that not only fits your lifestyle, but will also get you healthier.

Our group exercise classes will now be offered in three distinct levels: basic, dynamic, and Fit Beyond 50. That way you can chose the level of intensity that is right for you. In reality, we do not fall neatly into one of these levels. You may be comfortable participating in an advanced activity like running, but are new to yoga. No worries, mix it up! Start with Basic Yoga and once you get comfortable then step-up to a dynamic class. This way you can build a work-out program just for you.

BASIC - Introductory & Beginner Classes

If you’re just starting to make exercise and getting healthy a consistent part of your life, choose classes offered on the Basic Schedule. Classes in this category can help you build a baseline of comfort with exercise and help you stick to a regular program.


DYNAMIC - Intermediate/Advanced Classes

If you’ve already adopted a regular exercise routine and would like more structure to your workout or if you have a dedicated exercise routine and have specific goals, choose classes offered on the Dynamic Schedule. The intensity of the Dynamic classes is designed to challenge you, yet gain the benefits you look for in a program at your own pace.


FIT BEYOND 50 - Classes for our 50+ Exercisers

If you’re age 50 and over and looking for new ways to be active but not sure where to start, choose classes offered in the Fit Beyond 50 Program.  This program empowers adults age 50+ to pursue healthier living choices, reduce the risk of disease, and have fun while staying active. It’s perfect whether you’re just getting started or already practicing healthy habits.


Personal Training

Individuals interested in personal attention and extra motivation during each workout should consider personal trainer. Personal trainers will help you develop a workout that is geared towards your specific goals. Sessions can be scheduled anytime that is convenient to the personal trainer and the member.
