Our History

The YMCA in Newbury Park began with the vision of Paul and Eli Miller and was carried on by the next generation, Arlen and Tony Miller.  Their desire was to create a community gathering place for family, fitness and activities.
The Miller Family, along with many community leaders, raised the funds to build our YMCA that has been serving Newbury Park since 2007. Our Y is named in honor of the Miller Family who donated the land and contributed to the building construction. The community’s continued support through contributions helps ensure than no one is turned away from YMCA programs.
