C.I.T. Camp - Offered at the Simi Valley Family YMCA Branch

9th to 10th graders can experience what it’s like to be a counselor in our Counselor in Training program.  After a week of training, in which you will be trained in CPR and First Aid, you will be placed in a camp with a group of campers.  Get hands on learning from a day camp counselor as you join the camp on fieldtrips and in group games.

Please complete your online registration by visiting our member hot button and downloading the camp registration forms.  The YMCA needs your completed camp registration forms two weeks prior to the start of your child’s session.

C.I.T. Camp at Conejo and Triunfo YMCAs

Do you love working with kids?  Are you interested in having fun and learning at the same time?  Are you a leader?  If you answered yes, then you should check out our Counselors in Training (C.I.T.) Program.  This program will show you how to become a day camp counselor.  During this training you will learn tools as well as real life experieces to help you transition into a career as a camp counselor.  You will participate in songs, skits, and all the other activities  of a camp counselor.
Week 1 is mandatory training week.
